1. General

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of affublements.com and any purchase made through the site. By browsing or placing an order, you agree to these terms in full. We may update them from time to time — the version published on this page at the time of your purchase is the one that applies.

2. About Affublements

Affublements is a curated selection of archive, vintage, and designer fashion pieces. Every item is unique, carefully chosen and described. These are not new garments — they are pre-owned pieces with a history, and that is what gives them their value.

3. Products

All items sold on Affublements are pre-owned (second-hand). Each piece is photographed and described with care. Condition, sizing, and any flaws or alterations are noted in the product listing. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen settings. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read the full product description and accept the condition as stated.

All items are verified to the best of our knowledge and sold as authentic. If you have any doubt about a piece, feel free to write to us before ordering.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes. Shipping costs are indicated separately at checkout. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of purchase. Your payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never have access to them and do not store them on our servers. We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time, without affecting orders already confirmed.

5. Orders

Placing an order constitutes acceptance of these terms. A confirmation email is sent once your order is received and payment is confirmed. Since every item is one of a kind, it is sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Affublements reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order, for any reason. In the event that an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout and depend on your destination. All shipments are tracked. Orders are shipped within 5 business days. Delivery typically takes 3 to 10 business days within the EU, though this may vary depending on the carrier and destination.

Risk transfers to you upon delivery. Affublements is not responsible for delays, losses, or damages caused by the shipping carrier or customs procedures. If your order has not arrived within 30 days of shipment, please contact us so we can investigate with the carrier.

7. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with European consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU and Article VI.47 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law), you have 14 calendar days from the date you receive your order to withdraw from the purchase, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, notify us by email at contact@affublements.com with a clear statement of your decision (your name, order number, date of receipt).

You must return the item within 14 days of notifying us, at your own expense. The item must be returned in the same condition as received — unworn, unwashed, unaltered, with all original tags and packaging. You may try the item on as you would in a store, but any use beyond this (wearing, washing, altering) will result in a reduction of the refund proportional to the loss in value. Refunds (excluding return shipping costs) are issued within 14 days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.

8. Returns & Refunds

Outside of the withdrawal period described above, returns are accepted only if the item received differs significantly from its description or arrives damaged. In that case, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@affublements.com with photographs. If the return is approved, the item must be sent back in its original condition. Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item.

9. Legal Guarantees

All items benefit from the legal guarantees provided by Belgian law. These rights apply in addition to the right of withdrawal described above.

Guarantee of conformity. For second-hand goods, the guarantee of conformity applies for one year from delivery. Conformity is assessed against the product description provided in the listing — including condition, noted flaws, and alterations. Defects or signs of wear that are clearly described in the listing do not constitute a lack of conformity.

Hidden defects. The seller is liable for hidden defects that render the item unfit for its intended use. The buyer must demonstrate that the defect existed at the time of sale and was not apparent upon inspection.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the site — text, photographs, logo, and design — is the property of Affublements and is protected by intellectual property law. Reproduction or use without prior permission is prohibited. Third-party brand names appearing on the site remain the property of their respective owners. Affublements is an independent reseller and is not affiliated with any of the brands featured.

11. Liability

Affublements strives to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the site. Our liability is strictly limited to the purchase price of the item in question. We cannot be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to the use of the site or products purchased, nor for events of force majeure, nor for any loss or damage occurring after delivery.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at contact@affublements.com so we can find a solution together.

If no amicable resolution is reached, EU residents may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the courts of Brussels, Belgium shall have jurisdiction. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
